Our role

Our network includes health professionals, consumers, caregivers and key stakeholders across Queensland who are dedicated to improving respiratory and sleep services.

We’re committed to supporting better patient care and outcomes by:

  • finding new and innovative ways to deliver high quality and evidence informed care
  • improving quality, safety and efficiency across the system by connecting people
  • developing training and resources for health professionals
  • providing expert advice to Hospital and Health Services and the Department of Health.

Our focus

Our focus is improving health services and outcomes for people living with respiratory and sleep conditions. We work with stakeholders to identify gaps and implement strategies so everyone can access quality, safe and efficient respiratory and sleep health care.

Membership

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in improving respiratory and sleep healthcare for Queenslanders.

Our members include:

  • health professionals who work in primary care
  • researchers and academics
  • patients and community members.

We also have representatives from health interest groups, professional bodies and non-government organisations.

As a member, you'll be involved in working groups where you can share your experiences, expertise and feedback. You'll have access to member resources, news and updates, and be invited to network events.

Steering committee

The Queensland Respiratory and Sleep Clinical Network Steering Committee sets the direction for our network. Membership is open to experienced health professionals and stakeholders who we appoint through an expression of interest process every 2 years.

Current projects and priorities

Qld Respiratory and Sleep Service Mapping Project
This project describes the extent of public diabetes, respiratory and sleep services in Queensland.

Clinical resources

We've developed evidence based guidance for managing health conditions, delivering clinical care and frameworks on the Queensland Health website.
