Our role

Our network includes health professionals, consumers, caregivers and key stakeholders across Queensland who are dedicated to improving rehabilitation services.

We’re committed to supporting better patient care and outcomes by:

  • finding new and innovative ways to deliver high quality and evidence informed care
  • improving quality, safety and efficiency across the system by connecting people
  • developing training and resources for health professionals
  • providing expert advice to Hospital and Health Services and the Department of Health.

Our focus

Our focus is on improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of rehabilitation services in Queensland. We offer a supportive environment for rehabilitation health professionals and we provide direction and leadership in developing best practices.

Membership

Membership is open to:

  • health professionals who work in public and private services
  • primary care
  • researchers and academics
  • consumers and caregivers
  • other rehabilitation stakeholders.

As a member, you may be involved in working groups where you can share your expertise and experience. You'll have access to member resources, news and updates, and be invited to network events.

Steering committee

The Queensland Rehabilitation Clinical Network Steering Committee sets the direction for our network. Steering committee membership is open to experienced health professionals and stakeholders who we appoint through an expression of interest process.

Current projects and priorities

Australasian Outcomes Rehabilitation Centre (AROC) Data Optimisation Project (ADOPT)
This project is helping health professionals collect consistent data about the health of rehabilitation patients so they can make more accurate comparisons against state and national benchmarks.

Northern Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Scoping Project
We’re supporting a project to develop a business case to identify issues, gaps and risks in existing paediatric rehabilitation services, and options for a future paediatric rehabilitation service in northern Queensland.

Rehabilitation Clinical Prioritisation Criteria
A set of clinical tools to help general practitioners assess rehabilitation outpatient referrals in order of clinical urgency.
