Our role
Our network includes health professionals, peer workers and key stakeholders across Queensland who are dedicated to improving MHAOD healthcare.
We’re committed to supporting better consumer care, experience and outcomes by:
- promoting equitable, culturally responsive and evidence-informed care
- improving quality, safety and efficiency across the system by connecting people
- developing resources for health professionals
- providing expert advice to Hospital and Health Services and the Department of Health.
Our focus
Improving the experience and outcomes for people accessing MHAOD services and helping health professionals provide best practice MHAOD care that is person-centred. This includes creating a compassionate and inclusive healthcare system that provides culturally safe and trauma informed care. Through collaboration with stakeholders we identify service gaps and implement strategies that promote equitable access to safe, high-quality and inclusive MHAOD care systems.

Membership
Membership is open to all individuals and groups with an interest in improving mental health alcohol and other drugs care and services for Queenslanders.
As a member, you'll be involved in working groups where you can share your experiences, expertise and feedback. You'll have access to member resources, news and updates, and be invited to network events.

Steering committee
The Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinical Network Steering Committee sets the direction of our network. Membership is open to experienced health professionals and stakeholders who we appoint through an expression of interest process.
